B&G Sailship reproduction on porcelain 39 x 31 cm Bing & Groendahl Number 1412 of 2500 limited edition Jylland
The B&G Porcelain painting is a reproduction of the marine painter C. F. Sorensen's work "Under Iceland", which is to be found in the Royal Collection on Amalienborg. It was inspired by the journey of "Jutland" as Royal Ship for Christian IX to Iceland to the 1000 year anniversary of the Island of the Sagas
B&G The Frigate "Jutland" was launced from Holmen in 1860 and was on one hand the last Oak-tree Sail Ship in Denmark. On the other hand is was the first engine driven steam boat in Denmark too.
